About the Archive

Titanic Archive is dedicated to preserving the cultural memory of the RMS Titanic disaster and the stories of those who sailed on her tragic maiden voyage.

The Archive's main mission is to catalog and digitally preserve primary accounts from Titanic's surviving passengers and crew in the form of newspaper articles, interviews, oral histories, and films and consolidate them into one place for researchers and enthusiasts.

Titanic Archive will also be a place for original research articles and video content that further expands on the contents of the Archive and to further the discussion and research of the Titanic disaster.

To learn more about supporting these efforts, please consider becoming a member of the Archive on our Patreon page.

Titanic Archive welcomes feedback and input from our readers and members. If you would like to share your thoughts on the site experience, to suggest revisions, or to add content to the site, please contact us.

About the Curator

My name is Rich Lunghino, and I have been fascinated by the story of the Titanic and her passengers since I was young. The release of James Cameron's film in 1997, and the documentaries and expeditions of that era, were formative in my introduction to Titanic.

Throughout the years, I have not only absorbed everything I could about Titanic, but have also conducted original research into Titanic's passengers, and wrote my undergraduate thesis on the tragic nature of the disaster.

While there are key sources and institutions that store a wealth of information on the Titanic (some of which I recommend here), many primary sources from survivors, especially those lesser known, can be difficult to locate. I first started Titanic Archive as a personal repository of the sources that I have come across in my research, and I hope that you find this site valuable in your own study of Titanic and her passengers and crew.
